Adaptive Control Interfaces for Extended Artificial Bodies

๐Ÿค– Project Investigator

Leading a newly awarded project on intuitive control and embodiment for wearable robotic body extensions such as a third arm or tail. The current phase uses AI-driven movement mapping and VR simulation to study control strategies, user adaptation, and future wearable robot interaction.

Multisensory music accessibility system for deaf and hard-of-hearing people

2024 - 2025

Multisensory Music Experience for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing People

๐ŸŽต Research and System Design

Developing technologies that translate rhythm, melody, harmony, and timbre into visual and haptic feedback. The project also explores sustainable educational tools that support music participation, auditory training, and everyday accessibility.

2018 - 2022

Multisensory Museum Interaction and Exhibition Technology

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Thesis Project and R&D Lead

My doctoral research on near-surface AR for museum exhibits. Over five years, I led day-to-day research, prototyping, and project coordination, resulting in a series of museum interaction prototypes and real-world exhibition applications.

Thesis project with long-term hands-on management and implementation, leading to outputs at DIS, in Digital Creativity, and through the iF Design Award.

Concept interface for VR fire-fighting training

2019

VR Fire-Fighting Training Interface

๐Ÿ”ฅ UX Research and Interface Concept Design

Developed a control room interface concept for VR fire-fighting training. The work included benchmarking training systems, analyzing future-oriented media references, and refining the interface through heuristic evaluation.

2016 - 2018

Playground-Style Science Exhibition Content

๐ŸŽ  Interaction Design and Prototyping

Designed embodied exhibition content around open-ended play, collaboration, and universal design. The project produced three interactive concepts - Sensory Playing Seesaw, Forest of Interaction, and Collaborative Jungle Gym - that turned movement into visible and audible learning experiences.
